This project focuses on a neighborhood or landmark—in this case, highlights of South San Francisco’s humble Sign Hill Park. Its notable feature are the 60 ft tall letters that can easily be seen from the SFO Airport. This book is a compilation of photos taken by me, abstract collage of the letterforms, cheeky Yelp reviews, personal journal entries recorded during hikes, and haikus that reflect on the juxtaposition of nature versus human intervention within the space. Wooden hardcover and handbound using the coptic stitch method.
